It got me thinking………You know when little ones just start thinking about walking, they hold onto the edge of the table and eye-ball the couch thinking, “can I make it over there?” Then they make a decision and give it a go. The first eight to ten times they end up plopping right down on that cute little bottom.
Have you ever taken a memorable trip and when you get home and back in your routine you wonder to yourself “was I really there and did that really happen?” We have been home one week today and I’m feeling that way. So I’m going to share some memories and that will help me to relive our time in Maui!
I’m writing this while sitting on our lanai in Maui Hawaii. It is a delightful 80 degrees with a soft breeze blowing. We are here for ten days with our best friends of forty years, John and Sandy from the Sacramento area. If you have been following us for a while you may remember us doing an Alaskan cruise last year at this time with them. Our ages (68-75 yrs.) prompted us to plan a special trip together once a year to make memories!

We recently went on a camping trip, yes, TENT camping!! If you have been following us for a while you know we have a 36′ foot 5th wheel travel trailer, so why would we go tent camping? Because we wanted to go somewhere remote, somewhere we hadn’t been before, somewhere we could see the night sky with no lights to interfere.
We have decided to sell the big RV and big truck since we are not living in it full-time any more. We debated back and forth, “should we buy a travel trailer, or should we buy a smaller 5th wheel or should we…..” What we finally decided on is……
