Here’s Why You Need a 10 Day Detox
Your body isn’t like an unlimited bank account that your rich relative is constantly funding and you’ll never run out. Your bodies resources are not un-limited, and if we don’t have the things we need to detox toxins out, now all of a sudden everything is slowed down. What could have been an easy day-to-day function, could now become a crisis. And, at the same time (I know it’s alot), your body is trying to reroute, store in tissue or eliminate what shouldn’t be there, but I can help you, and make it simple for you to understand how you can help your body with my 10 Day Detox.
This ten-day journey is designed to support you in learning how to give your body the tools to detoxify, stop sugar cravings, tips for daily detox, what beverages to drink, what carbs are “ok” and answer that question, “what the heck should I eat?”
Every one of us needs to support our bodies daily so that the liver, kidney, lungs, skin, and gastrointestinal system remove toxins that accumulate in the body. Let me break it down and make it simple for you. You could have a brand new Mercedes-Benz car, but if the fan isn’t working properly, you car will over-heat and everything will shut down to try and preserve that motor from burning up, and your body is the same way. Who is Chris Mckee? I come to the field of nutrition for personal reasons. My husband was diagnosed with third stage cancer at the age of 38. After two years of traditional Western medicine treatments, he was a mess. That’s when we decided to seek out a Certified Clinical Nutritionist. The changes that happened in his body where amazing!
Yes, he’s still with us today at 77 years old, and he’s an inspiration to all of us! This inspired me so much I went back to school to become a Nutritionist.
After thirty years of working one-on-one with clients, speaking to thousands of people about the role of nutrition in restoring and increasing health I believe Eating Challenges are powerful! Are you looking for a quick weight-loss program? Then this is not for you. We are focusing on preparing the body to release fat, which it definitely will during the 10 days and beyond, but our main focus is on health first, then weight loss.
Are you dealing with overwhelming life stresses? Dietary changes can be stressful so this may not be the right time for you (however, you will learn techniques to lower stress which helps with weight-loss)
Are you pregnant? Eating clean is SUPER important when you are pregnant, but check with our doctor first.
Are you training for an athletic event? This may or may not be a good time, but if you feel you need to “reset” then yes, join us!

- Will I be eating “regular” food? Yes, but we do encourage Organic during the 10 days.
- Will I have to shop at “specialty” shops? NO, all the suggested foods are available at most grocery stores that have great produce and a natural foods section.
- Do I have to give up coffee? NO, we just ask that you go Organic during the 10 days as coffee and tea are heavily sprayed with pesticides.
- Can I continue to take my regular supplements? YES! I do make some suggestions for additional supplements to support your body during the 10 days if you choose to use them.
- Should I check with my doctor first? MAYBE, because we have found some medications have to be REDUCED such as blood sugar meds and blood pressure meds.
- Can I eat out? Yes, and I’ll help you determine what to order when you do!
“I really enjoyed the last ten days on the program keeping me focused and mindful of good health habits. This time I took the challenge of the fasting days and found that to be very successful. Will be incorporating the fasting day(1×) weekly into my routine.
I also followed the meal plan and enjoyed new recipes. The minestrone soup and warm Chicken Asparagus where wonderful and tasty! My favorites are the Kale Salad and Butternut Squash soup!
